Watchipals Smartwatch For Kids

It has been about two months since I ordered the strap and it has still not arrived.

Where to start, Ordered 7 December didn’t get an update until I refused to pay the remainder, finally arrived mid Jan. Product is ok but experience was shocking, never got back to me directly after numerous emails, A learning experience

The watch itself has great functionality but limited app choices but offers more than most other smart watches for kids out there. The down side is the app that the parents can manage their Childresn' devices from is lacking basic functions and the layout can be confusing but all in all, we have been happy so far with the watches.

Not happy at all, ordered watch for my son for Xmas as it said 1-4 days delivery, didn’t get it till after Xmas. Then when I opened it up the extra band that I ordered wasn’t there and I have tried to contact them on many occasions and no reply. Very bad experience….

I can't give a review because we have only just received the watch yesterday. It was very disappointing that it took well over a month for it to arrive.

I am very happy with the watch I bought for my granddaughter But so disappointed that I have emailed a couple of times about two watch bands I have purchased but one was missing a pin And no one has gotten back to me to have it replaced or even send a pin

Good value for money, not the be all and end all, but would recommend, as there doesn't seem to be any similar kids smart watch that's better! Improvements would be: - More accurate tracking - Ability to view what's app messages from parents app - Inability to add apps from the watch (found my Son had installed utube himself) - Waterproof -Higher quality camera These improvements would be nice, but then watch would be more expensive and not sure if I would want to pay too much more for something that my child could possibly loose or damage!

Howdy I’m a little upset with the bands I got for my granddaughters birthday present one of the bands was missing a pin I sent an email got a response about taking a pin out of her other band I responded but never heard about

The watches are fantastic and very easy to use. The only downside is the bands are too difficult for kids to take on and off themselves for school. Just purchased our 3rd to replace one because of the band issue which meant my son lost it. Can confirm the GPS tracker worked great and we found it (but we’re unable to retrieve it). Will be trying to fit a Velcro band or something easier and more comfortable. Overall though it’s an excellent smartwatch.

Great watch. No issues being in NZ and using our networks. Does exactly what we needed it for. Calls are clear and sms messaging is straightforward.

Love it, very handy have already recommended this to other parents who are looking into purchasing it for their kids I love the app I check up on my daughter without her knowing during school. location shows exact place just love it.

Love it!!! Had troubles setting up wifi cause it kept coming off but once we got it up it was so amazing I’ve shared with with at least 5 people who are wanting to get one for there kids. Even some Of us adults are wanting one for ourselves

I was able to get this working in NZ pretty easily. Some slight reception issues which are probably the internet provider (goes straight to my voicemail). We’re yet to try it in true action but my daughter who just turned 11 absolutely loves it. We don’t know about longevity yet

I'm not real tech savvy so little messy for me to set up but I'm sure for many it would be fine.

Watch stopped working within 3 weeks. Since then, over the last 6 weeks I have sent three emails enquiring about returning for repairs with no response. After purchase service terrible.

We love these Watches. I have purchased five for all my grandchildren aged from 7yrs - 12yrs.

I bought two watches (for my twins) for Christmas. One of them did not work and even after charging it a few times it still did not want to switch on. I did contact customer care and after various attempts going forward and backwards and still awaiting to get back to me. Decided to by an extra one. Great watch poor aftercare service.

My daughter loves her watchipals because she get to call us as parents and doesn't have to be connected to a phone she can just dial our number using her wachipals watch.thank you watchipals.

So far it’s been awesome and my daughter loves it. Although the video call only works if the receiver has the app on their phone and for some reason it just beeps like a notification instead of ringing so we always miss her calls. Have reached out about this but heard nothing back. It’s probably a setting thing? I also can’t see a way fo putting music on to it which my child keeps asking for. Other wise it calls like a normal phone without video so she can still call us.

Not too bad! Most features work up to a standard I'm happy with. The difficulty for setting it up is pretty minor and the main issues are really with the language barrier. The application we need to run can be annoying at times and likes to "sit on top" of other applications, which I don't like. But if you don't let it sit on top, there are a few things it can't do, I believe. I've only had a problem with the GPS and mapping issues so far, otherwise the rest of it is up to par from what I would expect of a childrens' smart watch. We'll see what happens first. Whether my son loses the watch, or it breaks first! haha. Thanks guys!

Live in Canada. Bought a cheap cell phone plan from virgin . Plugged the SIM card in and it worked great.

Bought these watches for the kids for Xmas so haven't been used yet but they will be so excited to use them and I can see non stop phone calls to us by them

This is my absolute winner! I was looking for the perfect smartwatch for my kids and after some research I decided to take my research one step forward and test out my final candidates - Watchipals Space talk and mochies Ordered them all and needless to say, after 10 minutes and I packed back the other two and returned them. The Watchipals smartwatch is on another level, it has loads of features that aren’t even mentioned such as video monitoring, some games and apps that my kids love and more. It grants a level of control that you dont have anywhere else, I can literally toggle on/off the features and decide which apps to allow my kids watch and which not. The interface is lightspeed fast compared to the others, it just as they said - more advanced, more more more good. Everything works better than expected the second you put a sim card in, and this little device is really impressive. Overall looks like lots of efforts invested in creating this watch specifically for parents and kids and they nailed it. I would definitely recommend watchipals over any other alternative brand for anyone looking to buy a smart watch / phone for their child.

I’ve been looking for something like that for a while, an alternative to smartphone for my 7years old son. He is not ready for a phone and I needed to make sure i can track and be in touch with him. I’m really afraid of potential bullying in school and this watch really helps relief my anxiety. The Watchipals support was quick to answer all my questions on chat and delivered the watch I’m just a week. quality seems great and it does feel like a well built, advanced phone, not just a toy. It has many features which I’m still exploring but my main purpose of buying it was calls,messages and gps which all seems to be working perfectly and as expected. There was a software update on the watch the day I received it so I’m happy to know they are actually updating and adding features, it took just two minutes and automatically updated. I’m happy with this purchase and would strongly recommend getting one of these Watchipals for your kids, especially if you are as obsessed or anxious about your kids safety as me.

Love our Watchipals I think this is a brilliant smartwatch, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a kids watch with all the hype but now I understand, its really designed for kids safety as I can limit what they can and can’t use from the app, monitor almost anything they do and more. It does behave like a mobile phone so it doesn’t rely on having another phone like apple watch does. Very well made smartwatch, my kids seems to love it and its pretty easy for them to use. I’m glad I purchased it.

I can now charge my kids watches. I couldn't charge before however it working good after i got the new charger

So far so good... we are using it mainly for school days while our boy is catching the bus and coming back home by himself. its great because it has a GPS function and the calls are easy to make just like a mobile phone. I wish it was also suitable for swimming as he takes classes weekly, but for the price of $160 its understandable that this isn't a garmin or g-shock for swimming, it has its other perks. rather than that everything is great so far.

A fun way to keep in touch with my kids, they loved the gift and quite excited about it. the GPS is surprisingly accurate at most times and calls are clear and quick to make. Overall its been easy to use and seems that the kids are enjoying it very much.

So so happy we gave it a go and bought this watch for our 5 years old. He had been asking me for a while but I wasn’t sure if he was too young - After trying it the last couple of days, he definitely is not. I absolutely love the fact that Tyler can call me a million times a day & I can as well haha Besides being able to video call us, he loves all the selfies he can take & tracking his steps. He can now also go downstairs on his own when it’s dark as he can use his torch!! So good Watchipals works like a mobile phone except I have all the control. I turn off all the features when he is at school. I absolutely love the fact that I can track him! It has definitely lessen my anxiety since he has had the watch. I would def recommend it :)

Purchased Watchipals watch for our child as a Christmas present December 2021 and there were ongoing issues with charging and eventually it stopped charging. I contacted Watchipals and advised of this issue late June 2022, within days Watchipals sent a new charging cable and the watch is performing as advertised. Happy with the watch and customer service.

We’ve been fans of this watch for almost a year now, and we’re happy to say that their latest model has not disappointed! My kid broke his old Watchipals recently and we ordered the new model and oh my! The parental app got so many features and controls in it. Its really easy to use and my kid loves all the new apps and now has the opportunity to listen to his favorite music through the watch. This watch is a total hit making our parenting life easier. My child really love his watch. It makes him feel safer while outside with friends or at school, it makes our communication easy and useful and it encourages him to talk more with us and the family - mostly to his favorite cousin. Best purchase I made in a while, totally worth it

Order was quick to arrive and set up was easy. The watch is really great and picked up the Optus network immediately. Still exploring all the functions but it seems fantastic so far. Battery holds through the entire day which is important. And the block stranger calls takes effect as soon as you set it. we got the green lines strap on it and it looks cool and not childish on my 9y/o. Thank you for a great product and service

I was really excited to get this smartwatch for my son, and he loves it! It’s easy for him to use and he loves all the features especially the video calling. Picture quality is excellent and video is smooth. I also love that i can see his exact location on the map and can control who he speaks to via the app. I’m very impressed with the Watchipals smartwatch and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe smartwatch for their child.

I’m so happy with this smartwatch! It has everything my child needs to have a great time while I can assure she is safe. The camera is fantastic for videos and photos and I love that I can call and message her directly. The GPS tracking is really helpful for keeping tabs on her whereabouts and anxious me like to ensure she is at school during school times. The activity monitor motivates her to stay active and I reward her for every sum amount of steps! Overall, I couldn’t ask for a better smartwatch for my child.

The product I received at the start didn't work at all and it tooks months and postage at my own expense to get a replacement. The product itself when I got a replacement that worked is a great safe smart watch for kids with good features.

It is a discreet and secure band. Not irritating.

My daughter has had the watch for a week & we love it. Now she can be independent such as walking home from school without me having to worry so much about the kids safety. I can check where she is any time, or contact her to see if she will provide me the most honest truth (yet to catch her out) & she can contact me very easily - will even call me to ask a question, tell me who she is walking with & I will know if she listens or not. This is revolutionary for kids today. They don't need a phone & a few of her friends have them too so it's very exciting for her plus it makes her feel safe & secure I am only a phone call SOS or text away.

Our child uses his Watchipals watch everyday for school. It gives him the independence to ride to and from school while easing our minds. This is our second watch, first one was broken at school and this one seems much better with its battery life and recharging ability.

I brought the blue watch back in October for my sons Xmas present, it lasted about 2 months and then the little plastic bit where the strap connects to the watch face broke. I had to buy a replacement watch at $79, this time I chose the black watch. So I’ve noticed both watches have different functions. The black watch has texting on it where the blue watch didn’t, the black watch restarts about an hour after I turn it on after charging it. The black watch also has different themes where the blue watch didn’t. Overall I like the black watch but I don’t know why it reboots after I turn it on

We got the watch for my 8yr old granddaughter so she can contact us any time she may need to and to stay in touch with family, a great way to know they're safe. Awesome idea, would highly recommend it for anyone with school children.

I brought this watch for my daughter as she has been very anxious since Covid. This has given her the confidence to push through her worries and know we are only a phone call away at anytime. It’s also great that we can disable the watch during school hours. I would definitely recommend!

Nice watch

I gave this to my 7-year-old grandson for Christmas. He loves it and I love it as he lives out of town and this enables us to have lots of chats which previously we used FaceTime but that involved the whole family and this is just one on one.

Mt daughter loves it but the app is terrible hard to get in to the messages easily. Should be easier if you get a notification to go straight into the message. Also when you open the app up you have to sighn it in so you need to wait and then let's you in the app very annoying

The watches arrived quickly- they were ordered just before Christmas. The kids loved them, I found them pretty easy to set up, the 4g sim was through catch.com.au. The app is fairly straightforward, the battery life seems pretty good too. The only things that aren't 'perfect' is the GPS position is not that accurate, but I think you can play around with the frequency of the GPS signal updating (I think it updates every 10 mins to save battery life). Also, the app has ads on there, which are pretty annoying at times. We have only had these for a month, so I will update in another 6 months if there are any issues, but so far so good!

My granddaughter loved her watch, however now its saying emergency only and she can't get into anything else....how do we rectify this?

Good watch overall. Got it mainly for the built in phone, so I could organise school pickups if I was held up at work or stuck in traffic. Phone features work well, although signal drops in and out occasionally. My main gripe with the watch is that it has a tendency to reboot itself randomly, usually 1-2x a day, the reboot process is loud and takes a minute or so. (This will not be great if it occurs during class time, I'm concerned this could result in the watch being banned from class, despite the lock-down feature on the phone during school time) My son absolutely LOVES his watch, he's very happy, so I'm happy overall. A few software bugs and niggles, battery life seems pretty good overall. (Much better than the reviews suggest for Moochie/Spacetalk, which is the main reason I chose this brand.) Can easily get through the school day, 7am he puts it on and it's often down to 20% by 7pm. However some days it still has 60% battery at the same time with seemingly the same use. The GPS seems a bit hit an miss, when it uses 'GPS' it is spot on accurate, but even with LBS turned off, it often seems to default to the LBS location which can be 5km away. (Clicking the button to manually return the location again usually resolves this within 1-2 minutes, WiFi also delivers fairly accurate GPS location, within 40-50m) The built in camera is next to useless unless in sunlight, does not work very well at all indoors, using it for video chats will eat your battery faster than the kids will eat your chocolate! Overall happy with the purchase, a few niggles with both the app used (Look it up "SeTracker2", it's been identified has having some serious security vulnerabilities, including the ability to call in or listen in to the watch...which is meant to help keep our kids safe!!!) Nearly all the issues mentioned can be fixed via software updates, so I'll stick with it for now, as my sons happy and I can call him when I need to. :) It's good to see another company offering a watch with slightly different features and better battery life, competition is a good thing and this is one example as such. Don't expect too much from the watch and you won't be dissapointed, remember this is built for kids (Not a $1000 phone or $600 smart watch) & the kids won't even notice or care about the bugs anyway.

Would be nice if if actually be able to show location as it was main purpose of purchase. It doesn't locate house addresses only shops which makes it a bit disappointing

I bought this for my 7-year-old daughter. She absolutely loves it! The app works really well and it is very easy to set up and set your parameters. It is perfect! Gives me an added layer of comfort knowing she can call me when she needs to and vice versa. I would highly recommend it.

My daughter got hers for Christmas and loves it! It has great reception, and really clear when speaking with her. The only thing that is not as accurate as I'd like is the location.... and that is only due to us building in a new estate, and not yet updated properly in maps. Otherwise, great value for money.

We bought this watch for our 9 year old son who is becoming a little more independent and wanting to ride his bike around the streets with his friends or walk to and from his friends’ houses. Easy to use watch, with simple functions. Good reception and clarity when using call function.

This watch has been perfect over the summer holidays . We travel in our caravan and it helps us keep a close eye on where our daughter is at all times. She loves that she can call us when next door at her friends house.
